"Drop Rohit Sharma and save Indian cricket" - Twitter blasts captain after Pune Horror Show
India captain Rohit Sharma's poor form continued as the batter was dismissed for another low score during the second Test between India and New Zealand at Pune. Rohit was dismissed for just 8 runs by Mitchell Santner to give New Zealand the first wicket of the innings.
Left-arm spinner Santner, who had an excellent outing in the first innings, shortened his length a touch as Rohit came down the track to defend. The bowler got some extra bounce off the surface and the thick inside edge went straight to short leg for an easy catch to Will Young.
Rohit is enduring a tough time and his poor form continued here as well. As a result, he was brutally trolled on social media for his lackluster performance.

Rohit Sharma's last eight Test innings
Sharma was dismissed for a duck in the first innings by a perfect delivery from Tim Southee. The Indian captain is going through a torrid time currently. He has just one fifty-plus score to his name in his last eight Test innings.
His last eight scores in Test cricket read 8, 0, 2, 52, 23, 8, 6, 5. His form is crucial for India in the upcoming Test matches, especially in Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. India will hope their captain to be back amongst the runs soon.
