Baba Indrajith calls Vaibhav Sooryavanshi “Once-in-a-Generation” talent
Everyone has now become a fan of this young talent, and now Baba Indrajith has joined the long list. The Tamil Nadu batter has admitted that Sooryavanshi is a rare talent who comes once in a generation, and he really enjoys watching his bat.
But at the same time, Baba Indrajith believes that bowlers should try to outsmart Vaibhav with slower deliveries early in his innings to stop his attacking flow as he is gearing up to face Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Monday (April 13) in IPL 2026 Match 21 in Hyderabad.
Baba shares a strategy on how to keep Vaibhav in check
Taking to his social media handle X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, Indrajith shared his thoughts by stating, "Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is a once-in-a-generation talent. I'm thoroughly enjoying the way he's batting and more so the bat swing. One possible way to cut that pendulous bat swing would be a dipping, slower one early on (maybe even the first ball) to break his downswing of the bat.”

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi eyes historic T20 record in SRH vs RR clash
Meanwhile, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is now on the verge of achieving a huge milestone in the IPL. The 15-year-old has been in outstanding form and is now just one big knock away from creating history. The young sensation has a golden chance to equal a record that has been untouched for nearly two decades in T20 cricket during the SRH vs RR clash in Hyderabad on Monday.
Sooryavanshi has already scored 901 runs in just 22 innings and needs only 99 more runs to level the record for fastest to 1,000 runs in T20 cricket history. The red-hot form batter can achieve this feat today since SRH’s bowling attack has so far been weak and smacked by all the teams.
This record has been untouched since 2008 and is currently shared by Australian batters Brad Hodge and Shaun Marsh, both of whom reached 1000 runs in 23 innings. Hodge first set the milestone in 2006, while Marsh matched it later in 2008.
