The Australian national cricket team ended the three-match T20I series against the Scotland national cricket team with their dominant performances. However, Australian cricketers, including skipper Mitchell Marsh, were puzzled by an unusual and unexpected trophy presented to them in Edinburgh.

Australia began their UK tour with a dominant 3-0 victory over Scotland. The Mitchell Marsh-led team defeated Richie Berrington’s side in all three games at the Grange Cricket Club. Travis Head, Josh Inglis, and Cameron Green won the Man of the Match award in the three T20Is, respectively.

After the T20I series win over Scotland, the team had a good laugh over the trophy they received. Captain Mitchell Marsh was presented with a unique bowl as the trophy, which amused the entire squad. The video of the humorous reaction quickly went viral across social media platforms.

Mitchell Marsh was surprised when he received a small, unconventional "cup" as the trophy. The team struggled to pose for a photo with the unusual award, which only added to the laughter and lightheartedness of the moment.

The trophy, a small bowl known as a "quaich" in Scotland, is traditionally used for drinking whiskey or other beverages. Aussies were unfamiliar with its historical significance, but they embraced the surprise and enjoyed the moment, passing the cup around and sharing a laugh.

Had A Lot Of Opportunities With This Young Team - Mitchell Marsh

After the win, Marsh praised the players for stepping up and performing well. Marsh also expressed appreciation for the opportunity to play in Scotland. He acknowledged the support for cricket in the region and hoped for continued Scottish support when they face England.

"Had a great week, had a lot of opportunities with this young team. Guys stepping up at different moments and playing good all round cricket was good to see," Marsh said.

"It has been fantastic to play at a venue like this, different challenge and this is a good opportunity to thank Scotland and Scottish cricket. We feel that cricket is very popular out here. Would be nice to have all the Scottish people on board with us when we take on England," he added.

Scotland had some positives despite losing the series. Brandon McMullen emerged as the top run-scorer with 134 runs at an average of 44.67 over three innings. The Scottish bowlers struggled against the Australian batsmen, but Bradley Currie stood out by taking five wickets in two matches.

Aussies have begun their white-ball series against the England national cricket team. Australia secured a 28-run victory in the first T20I match at the Rose Bowl in Southampton on September 11. The Australian team took a 1-0 lead in the three-match T20I series.
