The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) have included Brydon Carse in their squad for the upcoming four-match T20I series against the New Zealand cricket team. Brydon Carse replaced uncapped pacer John Turner, who was ruled out of the series due to injury.

Carse has yet to represent the national team in the shorter format of the game in international cricket. The right-arm pacer played for England in nine ODIs and last played in July 2022. He picked up 12 wickets at an average of 31.83, with a best figure of 5/61.

England Will Host Limited Over Series Against New Zealand

The Jos Buttler-led team will host the white-ball series against the Black Caps, which includes four T20Is and four ODIs. The limited-overs series will start with the first T20I scheduled to be played at the Riverside Ground in Chester-le-Street on Wednesday, August 30.

Three uncapped players, Gus Atkinson, John Turner, and Josh Tongue, received their maiden call-ups for the national team in the shorter format. However, Turner has been ruled out of the series due to a side injury sustained while representing Trent Rockets in the Men’s Hundred.
