England Playing 11 vs West Indies- 2nd T20I, West Indies tour of England 2025:

Openers: Jamie Smith, Ben Duckett

The hosts will open the batting in the second T20I against West Indies with the pair of Jamie Smith and Ben Duckett.

The duo has been in good form in the ongoing English summer and was able to get England off to a flier in three ODIs that preceded the T20I series.

Having said that, the case wasn't the same in the opening T20I on Sunday, as Duckett was dismissed early, and Jamie Smith, who came in as a replacement for Salt, got out after getting a good start.

The openers will hope to get things right in the upcoming T20I scheduled to take place on June 8.

Middle-order batsmen and all-rounders: Jos Buttler (wk), Tom Banton, Harry Brook (c), Jacob Bethell, Will Jacks, Liam Dawson

England's innings was held together by former white ball skipper Jos Buttler, who fell just short of a fine hundred on a difficult wicket.

Other than Buttler, batters like Jacob Bethell struggled to time the ball, while captain Harry Brook failed to make a significant contribution and was dismissed early.

The team management would want a more comprehensive display of batting by the batters in the second game, on what is expected to be a good batting wicket in Bristol.

Middle-order batters will have to take the responsibility of taking the team to an above-par total in the second game and not depend on a single batter to do the job.

The trio of Banton, Brook, and Bethell will have another opportunity to show what they are capable of with the bat.

Bowlers: Matthew Potts, Brydon Carse, Adil Rashid

The hosts will be happy with the way the English bowlers bowled, especially in the middle overs, by pulling things back at a time when the game could have gone either way.

England's bowling was led by Liam Dawson, who took the new ball and picked up four wickets in the first outing.

Dawson was well supported by the fast bowlers, who used the long side of the ground to good advantage by banging the ball short and inviting the batters to clear the long boundary.

Potts and Carse would like to keep up the good work they have done in four whiteball games so far.

Veteran leg spinner Adil Rashid also played his part by stemming the flow of runs in the middle overs.

The hosts are expected to go in with the same combination of two spinners and two fast bowlers in the next game as well, with Jacks and Bethell chipping in with an over or two as and when needed.
