England will be up against the West Indies in the third of the three-match T20I series. This article provides details about England's Playing 11 vs West Indies for the third match of the three-match T20I series.
England Playing 11 vs West Indies- 3rd T20I, West Indies tour of England 2025:
Openers: Jamie Smith, Ben Duckett
England's opening duo of Jamie Smith and Ben Duckett will once again open the innings in the third and final game against the West Indies.
The duo has got going individually in the T20I series but hasn't got the hosts off to a start as a pair, and that is what Smith and Duckett will look to get right in the final outing.
Having said that, both batters have played a couple of match-winning innings in the two matches so far and will hope to do the same on Tuesday.
Smith studied the ship after losing Duckett early in the first game, while Duckett made sure that the hosts were on track to chase a big score of 197 runs in the second match.
Middle-order batsmen and all-rounders: Jos Buttler (wk), Tom Banton, Harry Brook (c), Jacob Bethell, Will Jacks, Liam Dawson
Buttler, who is batting at number three for the Englishmen since the last few series, has done his job to perfection and will hope to keep up the good work.
The former captain has good company in the form of his successor Harry Brook, who has led and batted well in all five white ball games so far.
English team management would be satisfied by the way the middle order batter handled would could have been a peculiar situation in the final stages of the batting innings.
Banton, Bethell, and Jacks trio, with their aggressive approach, ensured that England got over the line without any hiccup.
The batters would want to do more of the same in the third T20I to impose a clean sweep over the West Indies.
Bowlers: Matthew Potts, Brydon Carse, Adil Rashid
Fast bowler Matthew Potts is expected to be back after missing the second game in place of Brydon Carse, who gave away a lot of runs.
Liam Dowson, who was the pick of the bowlers for the hosts in the first T20I, was expensive in the following game.
Dawson, however, is expected to retain his spot in the playing XI for the third T20I as England are in search of a left-arm spin bowling option.
Potts and Carse would like to replicate the good work they have done in the English summer so far.
Veteran leg spinner Adil Rashid, who was taken to the cleaners by Jason Holder, would be itching to make a strong comeback.
The hosts are expected to retain the combination of two spinners and two fast bowlers in the next game as well, with Jacks and Bethell acting as the fifth bowling option.
