The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) have announced their 15-player squad for the ICC Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2027. They are the first team to name their squad for the third edition of the tournament, which will be jointly hosted by Nepal and Bangladesh in January and February 2027.
The squad will begin its preparations with training camps in the UK before travelling to India for a five-match T20 series in November and December 2026. England will remain in India for another week after the series to continue outdoor training and adjust to subcontinental conditions before the World Cup.

Head coach Chris Guest believes England will enter the tournament with their best-prepared U19 squad yet. Guest said the extended preparation in India will give the players an opportunity to work on their skills in realistic match conditions rather than relying only on indoor training camps.
“This is an exciting opportunity for this group of players who will be the best prepared squad we will have sent to the U19 Women’s World Cup. The aspiration as always is to win the U19 World Cup."

Phoebe Brett the Only Returning Player From 2025 Squad
18-year-old Phoebe Brett is the only player from the 2025 World Cup squad to return for the 2027 tournament. Maria Andrews, who was previously a non-travelling reserve during preparations for the Malaysia edition, has earned a place in the main 15-player squad.
The squad also includes Amelie Bishop, Eliza Bristowe, Flora Davies, Holly Garton, Bryony Gillgrass, Genevieve Jeer, Amelia Oliver, Shristi Patil, Prarthana Reddy, Faith Teekasingh, Clara Thaker, Skye Thomas and Venus Weerappuli.
The five non-travelling reserves are Ava Clive, Ivreen Dhaliwal, Libby Fellows, Lucy Randle-Bissell and Isobel Thorndike. They will remain part of the winter programme, including the additional training period in India after the T20 series.

The 2027 tournament will feature 16 teams, with the competition moving through the group stage and Super Sixes before the knockout matches. Nepal will host an ICC global tournament for the first time, while India enter the competition as defending champions.
England Seek Redemption After Two U19 World Cup Knockout Exits
The English side reached the final of the inaugural U19 Women’s T20 World Cup in 2023 but lost to India in South Africa. They reached the semi-finals during the tournament in 2025 in Malaysia after an unbeaten run through the group stage and Super Sixes.
England defeated Pakistan, the United States and New Zealand during the 2025 campaign, although matches against Ireland and Nigeria were washed out. Their tournament ended against India at the Bayuemas Oval in the semi-final.
After winning the toss and choosing to bat, England struggled against India’s spin attack and finished on 113/8. Davina Perrin top-scored with 45, but India chased down the target in only 15 overs, reaching 117/1 to win by nine wickets.
