English Reds vs Scottish Mulberries- Match Report, GPCL 2022

English Reds easily defeated Scottish Mulberries by 35 runs in the third match of the Global Power Cricket League (GPCL) T20 at the Yamuna Sports Complex Cricket Ground in Delhi on Monday, 

After winning the toss, Ian Bell of the English Reds decided to bat first. They amassed 172/4 in their allotted 20 overs thanks to opener Umang’s unbeaten 87 off 62 balls including 9 fours and a hit over the fence. Adil also contributed a useful 30-ball 41-run knock while batting at No. 3 including 2 fours and 3 sixes. 

Irshad was the Scottish Mulberries’ star bowler, taking a wicket while giving up 25 runs in his four overs. 

English Reds Bowlers Make It A Tough Chase For Scottish Mulberries

In reply, Scottish Mulberries were dismissed for just 137 in 19.3 overs while attempting to reach the target. Zaheeruddeen led the way with 40 runs off of 28 balls. Kirk Edwards 25 off 19 balls and Naveen 27 0ff 21 balls were other contributors. 

However, it was not enough to make it tough for the opposition bowlers, in the end, making it a poor batting performance.  

With two wickets each, Krishna (2-10), Divyansh (2-21), and Gurbaj (2-32) were the pick of the bowlers for the English Reds.
