Pakistan’s former captain, Javeria Khan, has announced her retirement from international cricket after a remarkable 15-year career. Javeria Khan will bid farewell to representing her country on the global stage, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and excellence.
During her illustrious career, Javeria Khan participated in 116 ODIs and 112 T20Is for Pakistan, scoring 4903 runs with two centuries and 25 half-centuries. Additionally, the veteran cricketer showcased her bowling prowess, claiming 28 wickets for her national team.
The 35-year-old ranks as Pakistan’s second-highest run scorer in both limited-overs formats. Javeria featured in four ICC Women’s Cricket World Cups and all eight ICC Women’s T20 World Cups, showcasing her longevity and consistency on the international stage.
The all-rounder led the Pakistan team in 17 ODIs and 16 T20Is in international cricket. She played a pivotal leadership role during the 2018 and 2020 Women’s T20 World Cup tournaments, demonstrating her experience and commitment to the team’s success.
