Pakistan National Cricket Team all-rounder Faheem Ashraf came up with a subtle dig at Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan after the team's defeat to the New Zealand National Cricket Team in ODIs. He said that players need to put the team first and keep their personal milestones aside.
Pakistan National Cricket Team, after having a torrid outing in the T20I series, failed to win the ODI series. This comes as a surprise because the Mohammad Rizwan-led side had a full-strength team and failed to win against the second-string New Zealand team.
Pakistan, who lost the first game by 70 runs, came up with another horrible outing in the second match. The Mohammad Rizwan-led side went on to lose the match by 84 runs as the New Zealand National Cricket Team went on to take an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the three-match series.
Faheem Ashraf played an innings of 73 runs off 80 balls to keep Pakistan in the hunt
The senior players in Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Imam-ul-Haq failed and the hero of the innings was Faheem Ashraf. Batting down the order, the all-rounder came up with a brilliant effort that kept the Pakistan National Cricket Team in the hunt while chasing 293 runs.
Faheem Ashraf played an innings of 73 runs off 80 balls. The Pakistan National Cricket Team all-rounder also slammed 6 fours and 3 sixes. Along with him, Naseem Shah also hit a valuable fifty but couldn't take the home as the Mohammad Rizwan-led side got all out for just 208 runs.
I think we can play better if we keep aside our personal things - Faheem Ashraf
Faheem Ashraf, who also picked one wicket, talked to the media after the loss against New Zealand, saying that they wanted to win. He also said that everyone in the team needs to put personal goals aside and keep the team first. He said:
"We all want to win. So, I think, when you do something personal, like if I do something personal, and step aside after that, it costs team. As a team, we've been playing, and the Pakistan team is still playing. If we back each other as a team, I think we can play better rather then stepping aside after doing personal things. Thank you."

We didn't do well, we didn't utilise the swing and they bowled very well - Mohammad Rizwan
Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan admitted that they didn't do well with the bat and ball. He also credited Faheem Ashraf and Naseem Shah for their efforts, adding that they need to do something different, he said:
"We didn't do well, we didn't utilise the swing and they bowled very well. Later on, Faheem and Naseem fought well for us. These are challenging conditions for us, but we can't make excuses. We are professional cricketers and we need to do something different."
