Fazalhaq Farooqi Bought By Rajasthan Royals For INR 2 crore at IPL Auction 2025

Fazalhaq Farooqi has registered himself for the IPL 2025 mega auction at the base price of INR 2 crore. The Afghanistan star was a part of the Sunrisers Hyderabad camp for the last season of the IPL.
The left-arm pacer's IPL journey began with Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2022. He played 3 games in his debut season and picked up 2 wickets.
In IPL 2023, he played 4 games and picked up 4 wickets. However, he did not play a single game in 2024 as the Sunrisers team management preferred the likes of Pat Cummins, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and T Natarajan ahead of him.
Even though Fazalhaq has not made an impact in the IPL so far, he is expected to attract a few teams in the auction thanks to his exploits in this year's T20 World Cup. He was instrumental in Afghanistan's historic run to the semifinal.
Fazalhaq finished the tournament as the joint-highest wicket-taker, taking 17 wickets in 8 games including a five-wicket haul.
