Former Indian Cricketers Come Out In Support Of Mohammed Shami After India Fast Bowler Gets Abused After India Loss To Pakistan

Indian speedster Mohammed Shami has received heavy online abuse after India-Pakistan ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 clash. Meanwhile, several former cricketers have come out in support of the veteran Indian pacer.

For the very first time, Pakistan were able to defeat India in the World Cup encounter, the Babar Azam-led side completely outperformed Virat Kohli-led India and won the one-sided match by 10 wickets. Pakistan openers Mohammad Rizwan (79*) and Babar Azam (68*) chased down the target of 152 comfortably and Indian bowlers looked clueless.

Shami proved to be the most expensive bowler for India as he gave away 43 runs in 3.5 overs at an economy rate of 11.20. Meanwhile, after the match ended fans took to Instagram and Twitter to pass derogatory statements on seamer Mohammed Shami.

We Have Lost But Never Been Told To Go To Pakistan – Irfan Pathan Comes Out In Support Of Mohammed Shami

Former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan, who won the man of the match award in the 2007 T20 World Cup against Pakistan, stated that he has been part of games where India lost against Pakistan but he hasn’t been told to go to Pakistan. He wrote:

Former Indian opener Sehwag took to Twitter to show his support towards the Shami labelling him as ” champion”. He also backed Shami to deliver a good performance in the next match. He wrote:

Former Indian pacer Rudra Pratap Singh stated that he is proud of Mohammed Shami and he believes targetting Shami after the loss against Pakistan is a pathetic thing to do. He stated:
