Former Pakistani cricketer Aaqib Javed reckons Rizwan is better than Pant in his present form, and he has clarified the reasons.
In recent years, Mohammad Rizwan has emerged as an upcoming star for the Pakistan cricket squad. The wicket-keeper batsman was a standout player as Pakistan reached the 2021 T20 World Cup semi-finals.
His ascent coincides with the emergence of Rishabh Pant as a batsman for the Indian cricket squad. The Indian is presently an all-format player and skipper of the Delhi Capitals of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Mohammad Rizwan is better than Rishabh Pant, according to a former Pakistan bowler, because he takes more responsibility.
“Rizwan has improved recently, “When asked who is more outstanding between Pant and the Pakistani star, Aaqib Javed stated on ARY News’ Sports Room. “Pant is a skilled player, but due to Rizwan’s handling of the situation, Pant remains… Being aggressive does not imply hitting a few huge, powerful shots and then leaving.
“Aggressiveness and mental tenacity simply staying at the crease to the end and finishing matches.” Aaqib Javed Added.
Between Virat Kohli and Babar Azam, Aaqib Javed picked Babar Azam:
Virat Kohli, the Indian skipper, and Babar Azam, the Pakistani all-around skipper, are undoubtedly two of the best batters in the world now. Both cricketers are excellent players who have set countless records in all three formats of the game.
According to the head coach of Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League, the Pakistani captain is currently far ahead of Virat Kohli, who has passed his prime. Kohli is suffering from his form at the moment, according to the 49-year-old, who has played in 22 Tests and 163 ODIs. Meanwhile, Azam is dominating across all forms.
“Now I believe Babar is in the lead. He (Kohli) has reached his height, but it is now fading. Babar, on the other side, is climbing “Aaqib Javed said.
Virat’s form has slipped in recent years, with his last century coming against Bangladesh in India’s maiden Day-Night Test at Eden Gardens in Kolkata in November 2019.
Babar, on the other hand, is in fantastic form right now, having scored two consecutive hundreds against Australia in the three-match ODI series that just ended. In the first two Tests, he also scored a couple of hundreds.
