Lucknow Super Giants is one of the new teams in IPL 2025 who joined the tournament in the 2022 season. They have been led by KL Rahul since their inception. Ahead of the IPL 2025 auction, LSG will have to part ways with many players and retain only a few.

LSG gave a decent show in IPL 2022 and IPL 2023 by reaching the playoffs. In both tournaments, they lost the Eliminator match. In IPL 2024, Lucknow ended in the 7th spot and failed to enter the playoffs.

3. KL Rahul

While there are many rumors that KL Rahul will part ways with Lucknow Super Giants after IPL 2024, the event is highly unlikely. Except for the last season, the KL Rahul-led side has done a wonderful job for the side.

The right-handed batsman shattered 520 runs in IPL 2024 and ended as the leading run-getter for the side. The LSG skipper also slammed 4 half-centuries and was the 7th highest run-getter overall. Hence, LSG will retain a strong captain like KL Rahul for IPL 2025.

2. Nicholas Pooran

Nicholas Pooran is another batsman Lucknow Super Giants can retain in their squad. The left-handed batsman shattered 499 runs in 14 games at a stunning 62+ average in IPL 2024. In the middle-order, he slammed 3 half-centuries at an incredible 178+ strike rate.

The left-handed batsman ended as the second-highest run-getter for Lucknow and 8th-highest overall. He has been a crucial member of the squad since 2022 and one of the most dangerous West Indies batters in international cricket. Hence, LSG is highly likely to retain him.

1. Ravi Bishnoi

Ravi Bishnoi is the most crucial spinner for Lucknow and one of the best in the Indian Premier League. Bishnoi has also cemented his place in the Indian Team with his stunning spin attack in T20Is.

The right-arm spinner got 10 wickets in 14 games in IPL 2024 at a decent economy of 8+. He has given decent performances since the 2022 season. He was also one of the first few members of the side. Hence, Lucknow will look to retain Bishnoi in their squad for next season.
