Former India opener Virender Sehwag is known to speak straight from his heart without worrying about his critics. Recently, Sehwag decided to troll Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) despite a good start to their campaign.
By labelling them as 'poor', Virender Sehwag roasted RCB by claiming that it is only a matter of time that they stay on top of the league and asked them to take a picture of it as well.

Virender Sehwag brutally roasts RCB
During a conversation on Cricbuzz, Virender Sehwag called RCB 'poor' and even asked their fans to take a picture of them leading the points table. However, he further clarified that he is calling RCB poor because of their lack of trophies and not in terms of revenue.
"Gareebon ko bhi rehne dein...Photo le le thodi der (Let the poor guys stay on top for some time and take a picture of it). Pata nahi kitni der gareeb log upar rahenge (Not sure for how much time they will stay on the top)," Virender Sehwag said on the panel alongside former India cricketer Manoj Tiwary.
"Exactly (when asked if they are poor on behalf of the trophies). In terms of revenue, every franchise is rich. Every franchise earns 500 crores profit. I am calling them poor as they haven't won any trophies so far. Very few people understand what I try to say," Virender Sehwag added.

Great start for RCB
RCB are currently at the top of the points table after winning both their matches they have played so far. They have won both their matches in a comprehensive fashion, which has resulted in their Net Run Rate jumping to the next level.
In the first match, Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated their nemesis, Kolkata Knight Riders, at Eden Gardens. It was a confidence-boosting win for them as they trumped KKR by 7 wickets with 22 balls to spare.
RCB continued their good form in their next game against Chennai Super Kings as well. They smashed a big score while batting first and then successfully defended the total by thrashing CSK by a massive margin of 50 runs.
Both their victories have come away from home, and it marks a good sign for them. They will finally move to their home base in Bengaluru for their first home game of the tournament against the Gujarat Titans on April 2.
RCB's title drought
With the 18th edition of IPL going on, RCB remains one of the three IPL teams not to have won any title so far despite playing from the beginning. They have come close on numerous occasions but the trophy has evaded them.
RCB reached the IPL final in 2009, 2011, and 2016 but lost all of them. They enter every season as one of the top contenders but have failed to live up to the expectations of their fans.
Apart from them, Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings are the only teams not to have any IPL title so far among the teams who are present from the beginning. Lucknow Super Giants also haven't won any trophy but they made their maiden appearance in 2022.
