The Indian cricketer has pointed out that there’s a lot of talk about ending the superstar culture, but the reality is that superstars like Kohli are what draw massive crowds.
The wicketkeeper has also noted that India has a long-standing admiration for its cricketing icons, and this cultural phenomenon isn’t something easily erased, and according to him, this culture is important for Indian cricket.

Meanwhile, the former Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan expressed his excitement about the growing trend of young players getting the chance to play alongside or against stars like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma in domestic cricket. Notably, Rohit Sharma recently played for Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy 2024-25 against the Jammu and Kashmir.
