Gautam Gambhir and S Sreesanth were involved in a heated argument on the field during the eliminator of the Legends League Cricket between India Capitals and Gujarat Giants. Gautam Gambhir mocked S Sreesanth in every rude way after hitting him for a six and a four in consecutive balls which drew a response from Sreesanth.

S Sreesanth lashed out at his former India teammate calling him Mr.Fighter and saying that he does not even respect his senior players and is always involved in fights. Sreesanth was angry with Gautam for the remark that he made on the field which according to Sreesanth was very derogatory. Even Sreesanth’s wife lost her cool on Gautam Gambhir and questioned his upbringing in her statement.

However, a few days back Sreesanth was showering praises on Gautam Gambhir on a podcast where both of them were invited as guests. Sreesanth compared Gambhir’s focus to a racehorse and said that he has the most charming smile. He also mentioned that Gautam is very sweet and nice and has supported a lot of people.

“He’s like a horse you know when a horse goes for a race. It is fun to be a horse and be as focused. For me that is nothing, he is very sweet and a very nice guy and I mean to be honest somebody who always supports a lot of people. So that’s why he is where he is and I’m sure he will go ahead. Gauti Bhai has just started and he will go ahead. Gauti Bhai is too good.. trust me, he has got the most charming smile,” said Sreesanth.

This makes it clear that Sreesanth did not have any past grudges against Gautam Gambhir which means that something happened on the field which deeply hurt Sreesanth in the Legends League Cricket. Both Sreesanth and Gautam Gambhir were a part of the World Cup-winning India team in 2007 (T20) and 2011 (ODI). Gautam Gambhir played a match-winning knock in both the finals scoring 75 in the T20 World Cup final against Pakistan and 97 in the ODI World Cup final against Sri Lanka.

Whatever happened between these two former India teammates has created a new feud in the cricketing community. Gautam Gambhir has always been a controversial person and has a reputation for being involved in fights and making statements that could be provocative.
