"We were outplayed in all three departments. We accept all the criticism. When I took the job, I knew that it was going to be a prestigious job and at the same time a tough one. I am not facing any heat," Gambhir stated.
After India's first Test defeat at home in 12 years, questions arose on Gautam Gambhir's potential as a head coach for the Test format. India's aggressive brand of cricket, which also resulted in their downfall, was also slammed by various experts.
However, the former India opener is confident of turning it around in Australia. He reckons that Australia is a different tour and hopes for India to put up an improved show down under.

Rohit Sharma's recent Test form
Both Rohit's captaincy and his batting were not great in the New Zealand Test series. He scored 91 runs in three Tests at an average of 15.16. Not only the Test series against New Zealand, Rohit Sharma had a poor time during the Bangladesh Test series as well.
During the two-match Test series against Bangladesh, Rohit scored 42 runs at an average of just 10.50. His form is a cause of concern for India as he can provide the team with some solid starts.
Rohit Sharma will now be visible in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy where he is likely to play a key role for India. Rohit is also set to miss one of the matches of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy due to paternity leave.
