The much-speculated rift between Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli has been put on the shelf, as both of them were spotted in good terms ahead of the India vs England 3rd ODI match at Lord's tonight.

Ahead of the toss for the match, when the teams were on the ground for warm-ups, Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli were on the ground too. Ahead of the first match of the ongoing series, it was reported that the head coach, Gautam Gambhir, and the batting superstar, Virat Kohli, were not on good terms, as they kept their distance during the practice session in Birmingham.

Rift between Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir?

Because of the report of a possible rift between the coach and the cricketer, fans and cricket experts kept the equation of Gambhir and Kohli under the scanner. From the latest footage and pictures, it seemed like all of the reports, which questioned their relationship, were not entirely true. In London, both of them were engaged in lengthy conversations on the ground, standing close to each other, ready for the match.

For India, the match in London is a must-win game as the three-match ODI series is currently evenly spread between the two teams, India and England, as both of them have claimed one win each. The Indian cricket team started off the ODI series on a positive note, claiming a solid win over England to take an early lead.

A must-win match for England at Lord's

England, however, bounced back in the second match in Cardiff and levelled the scoreline. As both of the sides have secured one win each, the remaining match shapes like a virtual final. The winner of the third match will claim the series.

So far, the ongoing UK tour has not been going well for the Gautam Gambhir-coached team as they had to endure a 2-0 T20I series defeat against Ireland and then a 4-0 T20I series defeat against England before entering the 3-match ODI competition against England.

Rohit Sharma to retire from international cricket?

The match in London was hyped for multiple reasons. Rohit Sharma is one of those reasons for which tonight's match became a must-watch affair for the cricket fans. It is highly speculated that this match in London could be Rohit Sharma's final match for the Indian National Cricket Team.

Again, a few media reports strongly claimed that due to a deteriorating bond with head coach Gautam Gambhir and chief selector Ajit Agarkar, Rohit Sharma has been forced to consider retirement. On behalf of the Indian cricket team, batting coach Sitanshu Kotak and bowling coach Morne Morkel denied any extra pressure on Rohit Sharma's shoulders.

Rohit Sharma has been named for the match in London, and like the previous couple of matches of the contest, he will open the innings alongside skipper Shubman Gill. Fans are waiting to see a fine knock from Rohit's bat, as his blade was mostly quiet in the last two matches for India.
