Glenn Maxwell, Travis Head, Adam Zampa To Abandon Australia Midway In T20I Series, CA Sends Reinforcements

Australia has added three players to the squad for the ongoing India vs Australia T20I series. Ben McDermott, Josh Philippe, and Chris Green have been added to the squad after initial losses of two games.
India has gained a 2-0 lead against Australia in the ongoing series. In both high-scoring games, the Indian side managed to outplay the visitors effectively. Notably, while the Aussies have a lot of key players in the squad, India plays a young side led by Suryakumar Yadav.

Ben McDermott, Josh Philippe, and Chris Green Added To Australia Squad
Cricket Australia has announced that there will be three additions to the squad for the IND vs AUS T20I series. Ben McDermott, Josh Philippe, and Chris Green are three players who will make an entry into the series.
However, Cricket Australia has not informed which players will be leaving the series early. Notably, players like Travis Head, Steve Smith, Glenn Maxwell, Adam Zampa, Sean Abbott, Marcus Stoinis or Josh Inglis will be returning home early.
It is due to the fact that Australia’s domestic home season has already begun and they are also slated to face Pakistan in a Test series next month. Moreover, the Big Bash League 2023-24 commences on December 7 and many Aussie players are part of the tournament.

India Leads Series 2-0
Meanwhile, India defeated Australia in both T20I games in the ongoing series. India crushed Australia by 2 wickets in the opening game by chasing down a mammoth target of 209 by 2 wickets. In the 2nd T20I, the home side grabbed a victory by 44 runs, after posting 235-4 in 1st innings.
Suryakumar Yadav leads India in the series and a lot of young players are part of the tournament. Key members like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, and Jasprit Bumrah among others have been rested for the series.
Meanwhile, India vs Australia 3rd T20I will take place on Tuesday, November 28. The venue of the match is Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati.
