Former Indian pacer Praveen Kumar opened up about the fight between Gautam Gambhir and S Sreesanth during the Legends League Cricket (LLC). He said that the clash was part and parcel of the game and people have made a fuss for no reason on social media.
Gautam Gambhir and S Sreesanth were the center of attraction during the eliminator of the Legends League game between India Capitals and Gujarat Giants. The duo were engaged in a verbal spat during the game and even after that war of words continued on social media.
During the game, Gautam Gambhir smashed S Sreesanth for runs and it seemed that didn’t go well with the fast bowler. He had something to say and in reply, batter to say something. However, after the game, the former fast bowler revealed the entire incident.
S Sreesanth mentioned that Gautam Gambhir called him fixer on live television. Even after that the former fast bowler kept chirping on social media and lashed out at the ex-batter.
Praveen Kumar talked about the tiff between Gautam Gambhir and S Sreesanth, saying that there’s no need to create hype. He mentioned that both of them would forget after a few days. Speaking to IANS, he explained:
“These are part and parcels of the game, there is no need for creating hype around these types of incidents. This should remain in the ground only and shouldn’t be carried beyond that. People have made a fuss for no reason on social media but if you see both (Gambhir and Sreesanth) of them will forget it after a few days. Everything becomes fine once players step outside (Ground par ho jaati hai tu tu main, bahar jakr sab thik).”
“You Have Exceeded The Boundaries…,” S Sreesanth Posts A Thrashing Reply On Gautam Gambhir’s Cryptic Post
S Sreesanth didn’t go easy even on that post. He thrashed Gautam Gambhir stating that he crossed all the limits of a sportsman. Sreesanth called Gambhir an arrogant and classless individual, saying that he had lost all respect for him. The former pacer elaborated:
“You have exceeded the boundaries of a sportsman and a brother, and above all, you represent the people. Yet, you continue to engage in conflicts with every cricketer.
What is the matter with you? All I did was smile and observe, and you labelled me a fixer? Seriously? Are you above the Supreme Court? You have no authority to speak in such a manner and say whatever you please.
“You even verbally abused the umpires, and yet you speak of smiling? You are an arrogant and utterly classless individual who lacks any form of respect for those who supported you. Until yesterday, I always held respect for you and your family. However, you used the derogatory term “fixer” not just once, but seven or eight times.”
Following the fight LLC issued an official notice and said that they would take action against all those who violated rules. They also sent legal notice to S Sreesanth for violating the code of conduct.
