Gongadi Trisha among four Indians in ICC Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup 2025 team of the tournament

India's latest sensation Gongadi Trisha has found a place in the ICC Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup 2025 team of the tournament. The allrounder had a fantastic tournament with both bat and ball and also emerged as the Player of the Tournament.

Apart from Gongadi Trisha, her opening partner G Kamalini also made it to the team. In the bowling line-up, India's left-arm spinners Aayushi Shukla and Vaishnavi Sharma made it to the Playing XI on the back of fantastic performances with the ball.

Both of them emerged as the two highest wicket-takers of the tournament and were expected to be in this team. The line-up also includes another left-arm spinner in the form of Sri Lanka's Chamodi Praboda.

Gongadi Trisha leads the batting order

Gongadi Trisha had an outstanding tournament as an allrounder. She scored the highest no. of runs in the tournament with 309 runs in 7 matches at an average of 77.25 and a strike rate of 147.14. Her strike rate is the highest among all the batters while she is way ahead of the No. 2 Davina Perrin in terms of no. of runs.

Gongadi Trisha also picked up 7 wickets with the ball at an astonishing average of 6.42 and an economy rate of 3.75. It included figures of 3-15 in the final. She was adjudged the Player of the Match in the final for 44* and 3-15 and was also adjudged the Player of the Tournament.

Gongadi Trisha will partner South African opener Jemma Botha at the top who scored 105 runs at an average of 26.25. Botha struck a crucial 37 off 24 balls in the semi-final against Australia and helped her team go through to the final.

England's Davina Perrin is listed at No. 3. Perrin, who opened the innings for England, scored 176 runs at an average of 35.20 and a strike rate of 135.38. She played a key knock of 45 off 40 balls in the semi-final against a strong Indian bowling line-up. She also emerged as the second-highest run-getter of the tournament.

G Kamalini makes it to the Playing XI

India's G Kamalini has been listed at No. 4 in this list, but not as a wicketkeeper. Kamalini struck 143 runs in the tournament at an average of 35.75 and a strike rate of 104.37. She scored 56 off 50 balls in the semi-final against England to take India to the final.

The 15-year-old Caoimhe Bray of Australia is also in the Playing XI. She scored 119 runs at 29.75 and emerged as the fourth-highest run-getter of the tournament. Apart from her batting, she also picked up seven wickets.

Nepal's skipper Puja Mahato makes it to this team on the back of impressive all-round performances. Mahato struck 70 runs and picked up 9 wickets in the tournament. She played a key role in the team's win over Malaysia in the group stage.

South Africa's Kayla Reyneke is at No. 7 on the back of impressive performances with the ball. Reyneke picked up 11 wickets in the tournament at an average of 6.27 and also scored a crucial 26 against Australia in the semi-final. She is also the captain of this team.

Katie Jones is the designated wicketkeeper in this team on the basis of nine dismissals. The England keeper effected 2 caught behinds and 9 stumpings in the tournament and had a great time with the gloves.

Three left-arm spinners in the team

The three left-arm spinners complete the Playing XI. India's Vaishnavi Sharma and Aayushi Shukla are the top two wicket-takers of the tournament while Sri Lanka's Chabodi Praboda was also impressive with her nine wickets at an average of 6.33.

Vaishnavi picked up 17 wickets at an unbelievable average of 4.35 to emerge as the highest wicket-taker. Aayushi is just behind her with 14 wickets at 5.71. Both were instrumental in India's title-winning run along with the other left-arm spinner Parunika Sisodia who picked up 10 wickets for India.

South Africa's Nthabiseng Nini is the 12th player in this team. The pacer picked up 6 wickets at an average of 7.33.
