Greg Chappell celebrates Rahul Dravid and India's T20 World Cup 2024 triumph, shares 'wonderful way to finish' message

Former Australian cricketer Greg Chappell sent a congratulatory message to outgoing India head coach Rahul Dravid following Team India's T20 World Cup 2024 win. He stated that his passion for the Indian team has always been there to see.
What he couldn't do as a player or captain, Rahul Dravid did as a coach as under him India National Cricket Team won the T20 World Cup 2024. The Rohit Sharma-led side was extremely dominating in the tournament as they won all the games and remained undefeated in the event.
Rahul Dravid, who was appointed as the head coach of Team India after the T20 World Cup 2021, made sure that he ended his coaching stint on high. He faced quite a few heartbreaks as under him team lost the semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2022, the ICC World Test Championship Final in 2023, and the final of the ICC World Cup 2023 at home.
Rahul Dravid, who was given an extension as the head coach till the T20 World Cup 2024, changed the entire way how the team should play. He along with skipper Rohit Sharma instilled a fearless attitude in the players and gave them the freedom to express themselves.
Rahul Dravid made sure that under his coaching stint, India ended the title drought. The Men in Blue last won the ICC trophy in 2013 and ended the 11-year-long wait. They defeated the South Africa National Cricket Team by 7 runs to win the final and claim the second-ever T20 title, after winning in 2007.
In the T20 World Cup 2024, India Team under Rahul Dravid was sensational with the bat and ball. They became the first team in the history of the tournament to win the event without even losing a single game.

Greg Chappell was pleased with the way Rahul Dravid guided the team. He said that the coach along with skipper Rohit Sharma worked thoroughly and said that his passion is commendable. He added that it's wonderful that he ended his stint on high. Speaking to mid-day, he explained:
"Congratulations to India on winning the T20 World Cup. I am particularly pleased for Rahul for being part of the victory. The duo had worked closely throughout.
“His passion for Indian cricket has always been plain to see, so for him to have been an integral part of the planning for this win must be particularly satisfying for him. It is a wonderful way for him to finish his time with the team,” he concluded.
