GT vs CSK: Revealed- Who are the impact players nominated by Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings for match 59 of IPL 2024

Gujarat Titans (GT) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will be taking on each other in the 59th game of the ongoing Indian Premier League. The GT vs CSK match is scheduled to be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

With six wins and four defeats, CSK are currently at the fourth spot in the points table and is very much involved in the playoffs race. While even one win can take CSK to the playoffs, they will be eyeing two wins in their remaining three games to make sure their fate does not depend on other results.

Moreover, three wins out of three would take CSK to 18 points and could also help them finish in the top two which will give them two shots at the final. The Ruturaj Gaikwad-led registered an impressive win over Punjab Kings in the last game and would be eyeing another win tonight.

GT, on the other hand, is all but out of the playoff race. While they are still mathematically alive in IPL 2024, their chances of progressing ahead if almost nil. At present, they are languishing at the bottom of the points table with just four wins. With nothing much to lose now, GT will be looking to finish the tournament on a high and also spoil the party for a few teams.

CSK have won the toss and opted to bowl first. Speaking at the toss, captain Ruturaj Gaikwad said: "We will bowl first. Looks a good wicket to be honest. It's been a chasing ground, so we will look to chase. Pretty much similar to Chennai. We didn't like a red solid wicket much. Pretty relaxed. You tend to lose many games in IPL, you got to back everyone and make sure everyone is in a good head space. We had injuries in between, but happy. Rachin comes in for Gleeson."

GT skipper Shubman Gill said: "Would have bowled first as well, looks a good wicket. There's 1 percent chance of qualifying, so we are going to try hard for that. The mood is like any other match, we as a team believe in doing the best we can. Will be a good surface to bat on. Will score runs and try to restrict them. Wade comes in for Saha who has a niggle. In order to balance the team combination Kartik Tyagi comes in for Jos Little."
