Former IPL champions have kept their top three batters intact by retaining Shubman Gill, Sai Sudharshan, and Jos Buttler, among others, and would back the trio to come good in the next season, as they did in IPL 2025.

Key Players For the Gujarat Titans in IPL 2026

Shubman Gill

Shubman Gill, who is going through a rough patch as far as T20I cricket is concerned, would be backed by the Gujarat Titans to come good in IPL 2026, being the captain of the side.

Shubman's form is vital for GT's chances for a spot in the playoffs for the second consecutive season under his leadership.

Sai Sudharshan

A lot has changed for Sai Sudharshan between the two IPL editions, as the left-hander has become a Test cricketer for India and would like to use that experience to the advantage of the Gujarat Titans, who rely heavily on their top three batters.

If Sudharshan gets going, he can be the batter who can hold one end up and change gears if needed.

Jos Buttler

Former England captain Jos Buttler completes the trio that scored the majority of the runs for GT in the 2025 season and would be banked upon to do the same in the upcoming edition for GT to have a strong chance of qualifying for the playoffs.

It would be interesting to see where Buttler bats as the batter who usually opens the innings batted at number three last season.

Mohammed Siraj

Experienced fast bowler Mohamed Siraj, who led GT's bowling attack last season, will be entrusted to do the same in the 19th edition as well.

Siraj, who has been in good form in international cricket in 2025, will look to carry it next year as well and pick wickets for the Gujarat Titans in all three phases of the game.

Having said that, Siraj would also hope to get good support from other bowlers, as was the case in 2025.

Gujarat Titans have done well in what has been a short IPL journey for them, making it to the top four in three of the four seasons that the team has played so far, including a title win in 2022, followed by another final appearance in the following year.
