Another twist is expected in the ongoing Hardik Pandya saga. Ahead of the IPL 2027 season, Pandya's future with the Mumbai Indians (MI) is in balance. Multiple reports previously claimed that to secure the services of the pace bowling all-rounder, multiple franchises were in talks with the 5-time IPL winners.

"Cricbuzz learns that at least one franchise has made fresh inquiries with MI about the all-rounder, and something may come about over the next three to four weeks," the 'X' post reads.

Previously published reports across media outlets claimed that the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Delhi Capitals (DC), and the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) were among the franchises that showed their interest in Pandya.

Because of the stature of the players, a deal with the Mumbai Indians will not a very easy task for any of the franchises. The franchise that shows fresh interest in the pace bowling all-rounder, arguably the best all-rounder in India, may have to pay a heavy price if the conversation goes long ahead in the future.

As there are some difficulties in pulling of the heavyweight trade deal, media reports claimed that after the talks with the Mumbai Indians, most of the franchises pulled themselves back before securing a deal. An all cash deal is possible, but that will dusrupt the budget that wanted to take Hardik Pandya on board. To save some chash, there is only one option left, a trade
