Team India all-rounder Hardik Pandya played an outrageous no-look shot to score the boundary during the first T20I of the three-match series against Bangladesh.

Hardik Pandya’s no-look shot off pacer Taskin Ahmed left fans, experts, and cricketers, including England's Sam Billings, open-mouthed.

The Suryakumar Yadav-led side secured a convincing seven-wicket victory during the 1st T20I on Sunday, October 6.

The match was played at the New Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium in Gwalior. Hardik delivered an impressive performance with both bat and ball to help India win the game.

The standout moment in the match came when Hardik executed a stunning no-look shot off Taskin Ahmed.

The right-handed batter leaned back and ramped the ball over the wicketkeeper's head. Pandya didn't even try to watch the ball after his shot, instead focused on chewing gum furiously.

Sam Billings, the England wicketkeeper-batter, reacted to Hardik's shot on X (formerly known as Twitter). Billings stated that the shot was so impressive that it left him amazed and described the shot as ridiculously good.

"This is utter filth! 😂🤯👏🏼" Billings wrote.

Bangladesh Bowled Out For 127 Runs During Series Opener In Gwalior

India opted to bowl first after winning the toss during the series opener. Arshdeep Singh took two early wickets to set the tone. Varun Chakravarthy took three wickets for 31 runs in his four overs. Debutant Mayank Yadav, Hardik, and Washington Sundar secured one wicket each for India.

Captain Najmul Hossain Shanto scored 27 runs off 25 balls, including one boundary and one six. All-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz remained unbeaten on 35 runs off 32 balls with three boundaries. The visiting team was bowled out for 127 runs in 19.5 overs.

Hardik Pandya Top-Scorer For Team India In First T20I

Chasing a target of 128, India lost Abhishek Sharma early for 16 runs. Captain Suryakumar Yadav scored 29 runs off 14 balls, while Sanju Samson added 29 runs off 19 balls. Hardik Pandya was the top-scorer with an unbeaten 39 off 16 balls, including five boundaries and two maximums during the chase.

Debutant Nitish Reddy scored an unbeaten 16 runs off 15 balls. In the final moments, Hardik dazzled with some brilliant shots and sealed India's win with a six. India comfortably won by seven wickets, with 49 balls to spare.

Hardik Pandya shattered Virat Kohli's record with the match-winning six. The 30-year-old cricketer guided the Indian team to victory in T20I matches on five occasions. Kohli, who recently retired from T20I cricket, has done it four times. Pandya took 1-26 in his four overs before his batting performance.
