India women’s national cricket team batter Harleen Deol is set to make her Women’s Caribbean Premier League (WCPL) debut after joining defending champions Barbados Tridents for the rest of the 2026 season. Harleen Deol has already reached Barbados for the ongoing WCPL 2026.

Harleen Deol joins Barbados Tridents in WCPL 2026
Harleen Deol will make her Women’s Caribbean Premier League (WCPL) debut with the Barbados Tridents. After Deol signed for the rest of the season by the defending champions, a total of five Indian players are taking part in the ongoing Women’s Caribbean Premier League 2026.
Kiran Navgire and Pooja Vastrakar are part of the Barbados Tridents, while Shikha Pandey and Yastika Bhatia are playing for Trinbago Knight Riders in the ongoing WCPL 2026.
Harleen Deol has played 28 T20Is for India and has scored 311 runs in 20 innings at a strike rate of 92.01. She last represented India in March against Australia.
Harleen Deol also has strong experience in the Women’s Premier League, having played for Gujarat Giants and UP Warriorz. She has scored 649 runs at a strike rate of 115.68 in 28 WPL matches.
Barbados Tridents aim to make strong comeback
Barbados Tridents have started their title defense with a setback. They lost their opening game to Trinbago Knight Riders by 21 runs on September 5 in the tournament. Currently, the Trinbago Knight Riders lead the points table with two wins from two games so far in the league.
The defending champions now have two important matches this weekend. The Barbados Tridents will face Jamaica Empress on Saturday, September 12, before taking on Guyana Amazon Warriors on Sunday, September 13.

India eye record eighth Asia Cup title against Sri Lanka
Meanwhile, India are just one step away from another Women’s T20 Asia Cup title, as they are set to face Sri Lanka in the final in Dubai on September 13. The Indian team has been unbeaten in the tournament so far and will now look to finish the campaign with a perfect record.
