World Cup-winning Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur has teased the PCB Chief Mohsin Naqvi and the Pakistan team with a video where she 'cheers' with the World Cup Trophy using a coffee mug.
India Women won their first-ever World Cup title against South Africa Women in the finals of the ICC Women's World Cup 2025 at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. Harmanpreet Kaur led India in her first-ever World Cup final and led them to a mammoth victory.
Smriti Mandhana remained their highest scorer, followed by Pratika Rawal. Deepti Sharma was the highest wicket-taker in the entire tournament, and Shefali Verma, who played just two games in the World Cup, was the game-winning star for the Women in Blue in the final.
Indian captain cheers with the World Cup Trophy
After winning the trophy, the Indian team celebrated in several ways. The Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana bought her opening partner Pratika Rawal a wheelchair at the winning celebrations. Later, she, alongside semi-final hero Jemimah Rodrigues and two other Indian stars, Radha Yadav and Arundhati Reddy, was seen posing in their room with the trophy.
The Indian skipper, Harmanpreet Kaur, was spotted in an Instagram video where she cheers her coffee cup with the World Cup trophy. Many have considered this to be a mockery of Pakistan, since this was started by Varun Chakravarthy to mock Pakistan spinner Abrar Ahmed.
Moreover, this came after India was snubbed from receiving their Asia Cup trophy by PCB Chief Mohsin Naqvi. Hence, flaunting the World Cup seemed a mockery of them by the Indian Women's team skipper.

“Cricket is everyone’s game.” Harmanpreet Kaur causes a stir with a unique message after World Cup victory
After the trophy was won on Sunday by the Indian team, a picture of the Indian Women's skipper, Harmanpreet Kaur, sleeping beside the World Cup trophy, went viral on the internet.
What took all by surprise was the message that was written behind her T-shirt that can be spotted in the image. The message read, "Cricket is everyone’s game," while the word "gentleman" was cancelled.
While sharing the same post where she reflected on the game being equally important for both Men and Women, she wrote: “Some dreams are shared by a billion people. That’s why cricket is everyone’s game.”
India's historic victory earns it a massive fortune
The ICC had announced a massive reward for all the teams that had made it through to the knockouts of the game. The winners of the competition, India, extracted a massive INR 39.78 Crores as the winners of the competition.
The BCCI has awarded the Indian Women's team with a massive cash reward. They were handed a huge INR 51 crores by the Indian cricket board after their majestic victory in the World Cup for the first time.
Deepti Sharma, the seasoned all-rounder who once again scored a half-century in the World Cup final and picked up a five-wicket haul as well, was named the Player of the Tournament.
