Punjab Kings have emerged as a top contender for the final spot in the IPL 2026 playoffs. The Kings have managed 15 points after 14 games in this season and are currently placed in the fourth position. The Rajasthan Royals are well in the hunt for the playoff spot as well.
Punjab Kings started the season with an undefeated streak, and the Shreyas Iyer-led side had won all of their first seven matches, but then they lost six matches in a row before ending the season with a final win.
Harpreet Brar trolls PBKS teammates after clash against LSG
Harpreet Brar, the Punjab Kings' left-arm spinner, has not featured in many games this season, as he has been used only when the Kings have played on spin-friendly tracks. However, he has been part of that PBKS dressing room over several seasons and shares a stunning bond with the players.
After the clash between PBKS and LSG, Harpreet Brar posted a photo from the team bus alongside teammates. Priyansh Arya and Arshdeep Singh. However, he trolled them by captioning their photos with hilarious tags.
Harpreet Brar mentioned Arya as a slogger and Arshdeep Singh as the vlogger in the viral photo. Arshdeep has been known to vlog alongside his teammates, while Priyansh Arya, the opening batter, might find this a bit derogatory of his skills, as he is a technically sound batter with an aggressive approach, and "slogger" is a misleading term for his abilities.

While Punjab Kings' win over the Lucknow Super Giants grabbed all attention away from the performance of two of their star cricketers, they will struggle to maintain a flow if they enter the playoffs, with these two missing out on form.
Priyansh Arya started off extremely well this season after having amassed 475 runs in his debut season in 2025. Though Arya has scored 350+ runs this season, his form in the last few games has been very poor. He has been dismissed even without those little stars that handed him his massive reputation.
Arshdeep Singh, on the other hand, also gave away 52 runs in the three overs he bowled against the Lucknow Super Giants. In a crucial match, where bowlers did not give runs away at an economy of more than 8 or 9, he bowled with an economy of 17.33.
Prabhsimran Singh and Shreyas Iyer led the Punjab Kings to a massive victory
Prabhsimran Singh, the Punjab Kings opener, once again played a fine hand in the massive 197-run chase. He played a brilliant knock of 69 runs off just 39 balls at a strike rate of 176.92 and put on a stunning century partnership alongside skipper Shreyas Iyer.
Shreyas Iyer scored a brilliant century off just 51 balls. He hit a six on the final ball of the innings to complete his century. He is on the brink of 500 runs for the Punjab Kings this season. Shreyas's unbeaten innings led them to a 7-wicket chase, hence earning them a slight chance to make it to the playoffs.
However, the Rajasthan Royals' defeat to the Mumbai Indians is crucial for the Shreyas Iyer-led side to make it to the playoffs.
