Former England National Cricket Team skipper Eoin Morgan lavished rich praise on young stand-in skipper Harry Brook for his leadership in the ongoing ODI series against the Australia National Cricket Team. He said that the young batter has been exceptional with his captaincy, and it's a huge boost for the England team.

Young batter Harry Brook has been pretty decent with his leadership in the ongoing series against the Australia National Cricket Team. Although England are 2-1 down in the series, his leadership has been the biggest positive for the team in the series.

Harry Brook has been spot-on with fielding positions as well as the bowling changes. The right-hander has been trying different things and that is working in favour of him. His best came in the third ODI when England made a solid comeback and won their first game of the series.

Harry Brook led from the front as he slammed a magnificent ton and helped his team win the game. The right-hander batted with complete control as he made sure that he stayed there till the end and took his team to win and make a comeback in the series.

Eoin Morgan lauded Harry Brook for his leadership, pointing out how England managed to beat the world champions. He said that it was a huge stride forward for this England team and Brook's captaincy. Speaking on Sky Cricket, he explained:

"Yeah, exceptional, I thought and needed. I think it's during this period of transition for a very young England white ball team, it's important that you get your message, your delivery, and your clarity right, but it all gets watered down if you can't see it in front of you, and beating the world champions, the best side in the world in the manner that they did.

"I think I will breed a huge amount of confidence, a huge amount of belief, and it will add weight to the words of Harry Brook and Marcus Trescothick, so massive strides forward for this England team and Harry Brook's captaincy."

Eoin Morgan further pointed out how Harry Brook planned the wicket of Cameron Green in the second ODI when Jacob Bethell was bowling. He also praised the young batter for his sensational ton in the last game. He added:

"I thought he captained exceptionally well, particularly when Jacob Bethell was on, he tried to create something when nothing was on offer, and it worked. They got the big wicket at Cameron Green in that silly position of a short mid-on, and he just seemed to be growing a little bit in confidence, and that certainly led to his batting as well.

"I thought he was outstanding scoring his maiden ODI 100, and England's side today will now have grown in confidence and turn up here thinking that they can go 2-1," he concluded.
