Indian spinner Harsh Dubey has received a call-up into the India Men's Senior National Cricket Team, and as a result of that, KKR star Anukul Roy has been called up to take his place in India A's squad in the upcoming IDFC First Bank tri-series.
India A are set to play a tri-series featuring the likes of Sri Lanka A and Afghanistan A in a series that starts from the 9th of June and will be played till the 21st of June in Dambulla, Sri Lanka.
India A Squad: Tilak Varma (Captain), Priyansh Arya, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Riyan Parag (Vice-Captain), Ayush Badoni, Nishant Sindhu, Suryansh Shedge, Prabhsimran Singh (WK), Kumar Kushagra (WK), Vipraj Nigam, Yash Thakur, Yudhvir Singh, Anshul Kamboj, Arshad Khan, and Anukul Roy.
Harsh Dubey replaced by KKR star Anukul Roy for the India A tri-series
India have several rising talents in the game of cricket, and Harsh Dubey is one such name. He played for India A on former occasions and gained limelight after his maiden half-century that helped India A to go past the finish line in a semifinal of the Asia Cup.
Harsh Dubey, who played for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the ongoing season of the IPL, impressed the BCCI selectors with his performance and was drafted into the India Men's Senior team for the upcoming series against Afghanistan.
As a result of his inclusion in India's Test and ODI squad, KKR star spin-bowling all-rounder Anukul Roy has been named as his replacement for India A.
Anukul Roy's promising numbers in IPL 2026
Anukul Roy has replaced Harsh Dubey at the back, showing some promising form. Roy, who represents Jharkhand in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, went on to play a promising hand with both bat and ball. His team won the domestic championship in the shortest format of the game.
Anukul Roy replaced Harsh Dubey as he amassed 43 runs with the bat in only six innings and helped KKR chase a total in their first win of the season against the Rajasthan Royals. He has also picked eight wickets with the ball.
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi included in India A squad for Tri-series
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, the 15-year-old superstar, has been dominating the greatest of talents in the world at this tender age. He has been talking down the bowlers with sheer domination and has been backed to be included in the men's senior national cricket team.
The BCCI announced him for the upcoming tri-series against the likes of Sri Lanka A and Afghanistan A. He will be placed in the XI alongside the likes of dominating openers. Priyansh Arya, Prabhsimran Singh, and Kumar Kushagra, who have had a promising domestic run followed by a good IPL season.
Tilak Varma has been named the skipper of the side, while Riyan Parag has been picked as the vice-captain. Ayush Badoni and Anshul Kamboj are among other players who are likely in contention for a Team India spot in the upcoming season.
