The 23-year-old India National Cricket Team pacer, Harshit Rana, has been on fire in the ongoing first ODI of the three-match series against the South Africa National Cricket Team.
The India National Cricket Team and the South Africa National Cricket Team are currently locking horns with each other at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi.
Harshit Rana strikes in his first over
The young Delhi and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) pacer, Rana, has faced a lot of criticism and trolling in his short international career, but he has time and again made sure to shut down the critics with his performances.
In India's previous white-ball series in Australia, Harshit Rana looked in great form with the ball, and he even made terrific contributions in the batting department.
On the back of his heroics in Australia, he was slotted in the playing XI in the ODI series against the Proteas. Harshit Rana was brought in by KL Rahul to bowl the second over of the second innings, and he struck twice in that over.
On the actual first ball of his first over, Rana bowled a sharp nipbacker to Ryan Rickelton, who defended down the wrong line and left the ball go past the inside-edge to hit the middle-stump
After dismissing Rickelton for a golden duck, Rana cleaned up Quinton de Kock for a 2-ball duck on the third ball of the over. He bowled a fullish delivery outside off-stump to De Kock, who got forward to drive and only managed to edge the delivery behind the stumps to KL Rahul.

Virat Kohli blasts an epic century against South Africa
The modern-day batting great Virat Kohli looked in exceptional form in the first innings against the Proteas and played an attacking brand of cricket.
Kohli showed intent from the very first ball and made life tough for South African bowlers while building up a great partnership with the legendary Rohit Sharma.
Even after the dismissal of Rohit, Kohli didn't stop and went on to slam his 52nd ton in ODI cricket. He played a sensational knock of 135 runs off 120 balls, with 11 fours and 7 sixes. Kohli's sensational ton and other batters' good efforts steered India to 349/8.
Former India batter Mohammad Kaif was highly impressed with Virat Kohli's innings and said that the way he paced his innings was a lesson for the young batting talent in the country.
"Virat kohli shows old is still good. Shower of sixes to set tempo, holding on as wickets fell and all out aggression after reaching 100. Master class in pacing the ODI innings, lesson for youngsters who struggled towards the end."
