Pakistan fast bowler Hasan Ali has sparked fresh discussion around the famous India-Pakistan rivalry after sharing an interesting detail about his family. Even Hasan Ali admitted that Pakistan has struggled against India in recent years and explained what the Men in Green lack.
Hasan’s wife, Samiya Arzoo, hails from India, and she is an Indian flight engineer. The couple tied the knot back in 2019 in Dubai, and they have two daughters.

Recently, Hasan Ali revealed that his wife always supports him personally but naturally wants India to do well whenever the two teams face each other. But he admitted that India is playing really strong cricket, and that’s why Pakistan is struggling to outsmart them.
Hasan Ali was quoted as saying by Pak Passion, “It's not like that. She always supports me, obviously, but she's from India, and she wants to win for India as well. But that's a different thing. Look, we are not playing good cricket, as we all know. And obviously this is also part of India and Pakistan games.”
India's dominance over Pakistan
Meanwhile, India completely dominated Pakistan, especially in major ICC tournaments. While Pakistan had given some tough moments to India, including the 2017 Champions Trophy and 2021 T20 World Cup upsets, the Men in Blue dominated the modern-day rivalry.
The Men in Blue have never lost to Pakistan in ODI World Cup history, winning all eight meetings between the two sides. They have also maintained a strong record with eight wins from nine matches in the T20 World Cups as well.
Their dominance continued in the Asia Cup as well. India currently leads the head-to-head record by 13 wins as compared to Pakistan’s 6 wins in the Asia Cup.

And the Pakistani pacer admitted India’s dominance over Pakistan in recent years and said that the main difference is the system. He pointed out that Indian players get regular high-level cricket throughout the year, which helps them gain experience and improve continuously.
The fast bowler explained, “A couple of years ago, we gave them a tough time. Even if we win that 2021 one game. But yeah, as I'm saying, if you look at their team, they're coming from the right path where they have lots and lots of experience.
You can say IPL or their domestic; they're playing 12 months of cricket in India almost. So, I think the only way is that they are coming from the right pathway, I would say. And that's why they are dominating the whole world at the moment.”
The pacer also noted that India has built a powerful team over the years, and their recent major ICC titles show that they are not just dominating Pakistan but the entire cricket world.
Hasan signed off by saying, “They have won a champion trophy and two T20 World Cups. They lost only one game in the 2023 World Cup. So yeah, they are dominating in the world.”
