Former Pakistan batsman Salman Butt hinted that the Indian pacer Mohammad Siraj has got different set of skills and energy to be successful in Test format. Siraj was the pick of the bowlers for India in both the innings of the Lord’s Test and looked like he was in a great rhythm.

He picked four wickets in the first innings and continued his impressive outing with a second four-wicket haul in the second innings as well. India came out on the winning side at the end of the Test and they thoroughly deserved the victory after having executed some excellent performances in the Test.

Salman Butt Feels Siraj’s Aggression Is Suited To Test Cricket

Salman Butt mentioned the way Siraj was ready to give his 100 percent while bowling and added that the expression on his face says a lot about Siraj’s hunger to perform. He added that not every batsman might like facing him and lauded him for picking up wickets whenever the captain has handed him the ball. Butt finds Siraj’s aggression as a need in Test cricket for a fast bowler.

“Mohammed Siraj came in and gave it his all. He has a different expression on his face. As an opposition batsman when you look at him, you have to be very good, or rather outstanding, to find it easy against him.

“It always seems like he will make an impact, whether it is at the start of the innings or towards the end. According to me, in Test cricket this aggression helps a lot and works,”Salman Butt told on his Youtube Channel.

Salman Butt Feels Bumrah’s Attitude Is More Like A Batsman

Salman Butt pointed out the difference between Bumrah’s attitude and Siraj’s attitude. He mentioned that Siraj adds a different variety in the Indian bowling attack that isn’t visible among the other Indian bowlers. He added that Bumrah’s approach is more like a batsman with a cool head around.

“Siraj has a different attitude and a different output. He adds a different flavour to this Indian attack. No other Indian bowler has such aggression in his body language. Bumrah’s body language and attitude is more like a batsman. He is very calm and cool. Very rarely does he get aggressive,” He added.
