India and Maharashtra batsman Kedar Jadhav began a new chapter in his cricketing career as he inaugurated his own cricket academy in Pune on March 14, 2021. He has been out of the Indian team since the Auckland ODI against New Zealand in 2020.

He was also recently released by the Chennai Super Kings ahead of the IPL 2021 auction and almost didn’t get any buyer during the first round of auction, after a poor outing in IPL 2020 in the UAE. He was ultimately bought by the Sunrisers Hyderabad franchise for his base price of INR 2 crores.

35-year-old Kedar Jadhav announced the opening of his own cricketing academy in Pune. Jadhav hails from Pune and has captained Maharashtra in domestic cricket including Ranji Trophy. He has also scored a triple-century for the team apart from playing 78 FC matches for the team.

However, he is more known for playing 73 ODIs and 9 T20Is for India, making his ODI debut in 2014 against Sri Lanka. He has made 1389 runs with 2 centuries and 6 half-centuries at a strike-rate of 101.60. He has also taken 27 wickets in ODIs with a best of 3/23. In 9 T20Is, he has made 122 runs.

Well equipped with all the International facilities, Kedar Jadhav Cricket Academy is all geared up to give the players a platform to script their successful cricketing journey,” Kedar Jadhav posted on his Instagram while sharing photos from the inauguration.

Kedar Jadhav made his IPL debut in 2010 and since then has played for Delhi Capitals, Chennai Super Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kochi Tuskers Kerala and will now be seen for Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2021 which begins from April 9. He has played 87 matches and made 1141 runs with a best of 69 and has a total of 4 half-centuries to his name. His average is 22.82 and his strike-rate is 124.15.
