Varun Aaron hits back at Ambati Rayudu for his remark on RCB

Ambati Rayudu said on Star Sports: “RCB should win the IPL. We saw what was the reaction on the streets of Bengaluru. In fact, CSK should give one of their trophies to RCB so they can parade it.”

Hearing Rayudu’s words, former India and RCB pacer Varun Aaron could not stop himself from taking a dig at the former CSK batter for his statement over the outcome of the IPL 2024 clash. Hitting back at Rayudu, Aaron, speaking on the same discussion, said he is not able to digest that the RCB knocked CSK out of the IPL 2024 with the thrilling win.

Varun Aaron said on Star Sports: “He’s just not able to digest the fact that RCB knocked out CSK.” Notably, RCB and CSK both have 14 points from 14 games, but a better net run rate advanced the Bengaluru team to the IPL 2024 playoffs.

After the match, CSK skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad stated: “To sum up the season, I'm pretty happy with seven games out of 14. Injuries, not having Conway as well--made a lot of difference. Challenges right from the first game. Pathirana got injured, and we missed Fizz as well. When you have injuries, it is difficult to balance the squad. I couldn't get over the line, but these things can happen.”
