Former Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez has expressed positivity about the recent meeting between Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) administrators and former Pakistan cricketers. Mohammad Hafeez hoped that constructive discussions and valuable insights would benefit Pakistan's cricket development.

The Babar Azam-led team suffered a disappointing group-stage exit from the T20 World Cup 2024. PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi emphasized the need for a significant overhaul in Pakistan cricket. Naqvi stated that "major surgery" was needed after they failed to reach the Super Eight in the recently concluded tournament.

The PCB Chairman hosted a meeting with former Pakistan players in Lahore to discuss player development, strategies to enhance domestic cricket, and the national team's performance. The meeting included recommendations from former players aimed at improving the team's performance and player fitness.
