Royal Challengers Bengaluru might miss the service of their star wicket-keeper batter Phil Salt in the playoffs as he is expecting a baby soon.
There is also no confirmation about is Salt is currently in India or not? Salt also missed the last two matches as well against Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals due to a fever.

Will Phil Salt miss league stage matches as well?
The English batter was acquired by RCB for INR 11.5 crore and played a vital role in the RCB’s impressive run in the IPL 2025.
RCB have two games remaining and have a solid chance to finish out their brilliant season in the two 2 positions. If Salt misses these two matches as well, then RCB will find difficulties to finish at top 2.
Phil Salt has been replaced by his fellow English teammate Jacob Bethell in the last two matches, but Salt will be back in action after the resumption of the tournament.
RCB have their next game against Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 23, and Salt is likely to be included in the playing XI against SRH.
Phil Salt played nine games this season and scored 239 runs at a staggering strike rate of 168.31. Salt gave an aggressive start to RCB in multiple instances to set up the innings for his team.
Phil Salt cashes the powerplay very well, and if he misses the playoffs, then it will be a huge blow for RCB, as no one can replace Salt’s aggressive start.

Abi McLaven is the long-time girlfriend of Phil Salt. Both have been together since 2020 and are expecting their first child later this month or in early June.
McLaven works as a freelance virtual assistant, and she is skilled in social media marketing, Business consulting and content strategy. She is currently in India with Salt and might head to England later.
Will RCB end IPL trophy drought?
RCB haven’t won the IPL trophy yet, and in IPL 2025, they have a good chance to end the title drought as they have already qualified for the playoffs.
RCB had played three IPL finals, but every time they got thrashed by their opponents in the final. In IPL 2025, RCB played as a great unit and are in second position in the points table.
