Huge blow for SRH! Adam Zampa ruled out of IPL 2025, Ayush Mhatre joins CSK

The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have suffered a colossal blow as the star Australia National Cricket Team leg-spinner Adam Zampa has been ruled out of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 due to an injury.
Also, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have named the replacement for their skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad, who has been ruled out of the entire tournament with an injury.

CSK replaces Ruturaj Gaikwad with Ayush Mhatre, SRH rope in Smaran Ravichandran for Adam Zampa
On Monday, April 14, in an official statement released by the Indian Premier League governing council, it was mentioned that the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have roped in the 17-year-old batting sensation Ayush Mhatre as an injury replacement for Ruturaj Gaikwad.
Mhatre, who was born in 2007, has impressed everyone with his outings for Mumbai in domestic cricket. He has played 9 First-Class matches and 7 List-A games and has scored 962 runs to go with 4 tons. Ayush Mhatre has been signed by the 5-time Indian Premier League champions for INR 30 Lakh.
Meanwhile, the star leg-spinner Adam Zampa will not be seen in action in the remainder of the IPL 2025 as injury has ruled him out of the competition.
Sunrisers Hyderabad have acquired the services of Smaran Ravichandran as a replacement for the injured Adam Zampa for the remainder of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.
The 21-year-old Smaran Ravichandran, who plays for Karnataka in domestic cricket, has featured in 7 First-Class games, 10 List-A matches, and 6 T20s and has scored over 1100 runs. He has been roped in by SRH for INR 30 lakh.

In a post shared on X.com, the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) welcomed the young Smaran to their squad. SRH stated:

Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) did the same and welcomed a new lion - Ayush Mhatre - to their den.

How many matches did Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Adam Zampa play in IPL 2025?
The 28-year-old Ruturaj Gaikwad played five matches in the Indian Premier League 2025 against Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings.
He didn't look at his fluent best in the tournament and returned with scores of 53, 0, 63, 5, and 1. His captaincy was also not very good in the ongoing season of the IPL.
Talking about the 33-year-old leg-spinner Adam Zampa, he played two matches in IPL 2025 against the Rajasthan Royals and the Lucknow Super Giants. He had bowling figures of 1/48 and 1/46 in the two matches
