Hyderabad senior Women's team coach Vidyut Jaisimha in hot water for consuming alcohol inside team bus

In a shocking turn of events, Vidyut Jaisimha, the head coach of the senior women’s team from Hyderabad, faced suspension on Friday for a reason that very few of us were expecting to come across. There were severe allegations that surfaced earlier today, suggesting that Jaisimha was caught red-handed carrying and imbibing alcohol aboard the team bus which was followed by derogatory and condemning actions with the players.

As a retaliation step, the authoritative figure at the Hyderabad Cricket Association, Jagan Mohan Rao swiftly intervened and instructed Jaisimha to abstain from all cricket-related engagements in and around the country until further notice and his worries will only reduce after the Hyderabad board organizes a thorough investigation in the upcoming weeks.

The bizarre drama came to light following the receipt of an anonymous email by the Hyderabad Cricket Association, accusing Vidyut Jaisimha of not only consuming alcohol in the presence of the team but also displaying inappropriate behavior towards the players which created a dismal atmosphere within the team bus.

To make matters worse and add fuel to the fire, apparently, a letter was written by each concerned parent of the cricketers on the Hyderabad senior women’s team, detailing instances of misconduct by Jaisimha and asking the state association to take necessary actions after the video started circulating across social media platforms.

It has definitely tarnished the image of Hyderabad’s state association and it will not be shocking if Vidyut Jaisimha ends up getting permanently sacked from the role of head coach. According to the latest statement from HCA, the matter will go under trial without any partiality and in a transparent manner.

The state association is more than willing to eradicate these types of things in their team and an independent committee might also be formed to look into this matter.

In a letter put out by the Hyderabad association, president Jag Mohan Rao, the development was confirmed against Vidyut Jaisimha who can be visibly seen consuming alcohol inside the team bus. The video was shot by one of the scared players of the team and the HCA president has assured that strict actions will be taken against the offender.

“Please note that an anonymous email has been received by HCA on 15-02-2024 with videos of you carrying and consuming alcohol in the team bus while on your with the Hyderabad State team. Further, the videos were also circulated in various WhatsApp groups and also shown on TV News channels.”

“This is a matter of serious concern and I have asked for a thorough investigation to be done in this matter and a decision will be made based on the outcome of the investigation. In the interim, while the investigation is being carried out, I am directing you to refrain from involving yourself in any cricketing activities on behalf of HCA,” Jag Mohan Rao wrote in that letter.
