Rohit Sharma has been highly regarded as one of the greatest leaders of the game. He has led India to two Asia Cup titles and Mumbai Indians to five IPL titles. However, Rohit will not be leading the Mumbai Indians side this time as the franchise has announced Hardik Pandya as the new skipper.

Rohit Sharma led India to the final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. However, the team couldn’t put up their best against Australia and lost the final game where the Aussies dominated the Men In Blue. Travis Head was the Player of The Match in the final for his brilliant 137 off 120 deliveries.

Recently, during an interaction with MensXP, KL Rahul lauded Rohit Sharma as a leader and said that he is someone who knows all the strengths and weaknesses of the opponent. He also said that Rohit goes to every player and asks them about their needs.

KL Rahul said, “I admire Rohit Sharma a lot, he knows all the strengths & weaknesses of the opposition – does all the homework, he goes to each & every player, talks about what they need, very sharp on the field”.

KL Rahul Admires Rohit Sharma As A Leader

KL Rahul was appointed as Rohit Sharma’s deputy when the latter took over as India’s full-time captain. However, inconsistency and injuries got him replaced by Hardik Pandya as India’s vice-captain. KL Rahul will lead India in the ODI series against South Africa and will later join the Indian Test squad where he will be the deputy of test skipper Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma is still the Indian captain in red-ball cricket and ODI cricket if he prefers to play. However, he has to decide his future in T20Is given he has not played the shortest format since the conclusion of ICC T20 World Cup 2022. He has been replaced by Hardik Pandya as Mumbai Indians’ captain and the fans have not reacted very positively to the news of him being removed from captaincy.
