"I think the only thing left in Virat Kohli's career is"- Younis Khan releases a fresh video begging India legend
Legendary Pakistan captain Younis Khan expressed his desire to see Virat Kohli play in Pakistan at least once before he retires from international cricket in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Younis reckoned that Kohli has a huge fan following in Pakistan as he has in India.
In his long and successful international career so far, Virat Kohli has yet to play an international match in Pakistan. Kohli has played cricket in almost all the top cricket-playing nations so far except Pakistan.
However, he toured Pakistan once in 2006 but he did so with an Under-19 team at that time. Since he started playing with the senior side, the political relations between India and Pakistan have gone from bad to worse, thus resulting in India's denial to go to Pakistan.
Younis Khan gives a heartfelt message to Virat Kohli
While speaking to News 24, Younis Khan requested Virat Kohli to come to Pakistan as the fans want to see the legend bat at least once in their lifetime. He reckoned that Kohli has just one thing to achieve in his life now, which is to score runs and perform in Pakistan.
"Virat Kohli should come to Pakistan for the 2025 Champions Trophy, it's our wish too. I think the only thing left in Kohli's career is to tour Pakistan and perform in Pakistan," Younis said.

Meanwhile, former Pakistan allrounder Shahid Afridi also urged the BCCI and asked them to send Team India to Pakistan. He even claimed that Kohli would forget about the hospitality in India when he will visit Pakistan.
"I will welcome Team India. Even when Pakistan used to tour, we received a lot of respect and love from India, and when India came in 2005-06, all their players enjoyed it. There is no better advent of peace than India and Pakistan going to each other's country and playing cricket. If Virat Kohli comes to Pakistan, he'll forget the love and hospitality of India. He has his own class," Afridi had said to News 24.
Will India travel to Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025?
The Champions Trophy 2025 will be played next year in February-March and the tournament is to be hosted by Pakistan. However, there is danger over the tournament as India is unlikely to tour Pakistan due to the strained political ties between the two nations and the security concerns.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has already said that it will be the decision of the Indian government whether to send the team to Pakistan or not. If India refuses to travel, the tournament could be played in a hybrid model.
India have not traveled to Pakistan since the Asia Cup 2008, where India finished runners-up to Sri Lanka. Since the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks, the relations between India and Pakistan have been strained. The last bilateral series between the two nations was played in 2013 where India hosted Pakistan for three T20Is and three ODIs. Pakistan won the ODI series while the T20I series ended in a draw.
Despite India's repeated refusal to travel, Pakistan have visited India for the ICC tournaments. Recently, the Men in Green arrived in India for the ODI World Cup 2023, in which they failed to make it to the semi-finals.
