The International Cricket Council (ICC) has revealed the Player of the Month nominees for April 2025. Zimbabwe fast bowler Blessing Muzarabani, Bangladesh all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz, and New Zealand’s Ben Sears will be fighting for the silverware.
Blessing Muzarabani set the stage on fire with the ball in April. He was the star with the ball for his team in the Test series against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team. The pacer won Player of the Match in the first game in Sylhet as he dominated the opposition.
Blessing Muzarabani picked up three wickets in the first innings and returned with the figures of 3/50. He came up with an even better performance in the second innings as he returned with the figures of 6/72. His effort saw Zimbabwe secure a three-wicket win.

Apart from Blessing Muzarabani, Mehidy Hasan Miraz also was staggering with the ball in the Test series against Zimbabwe. In both innings, the all-rounder picked a fifer, returning with the figures of 5/52 in the first innings and 5/50 in the second innings.
However, Mehidy Hasan Miraz found his best in the second Test game, as he was exceptional with the bat and ball. With the bat first, he slammed a magnificent century, scoring off 162 balls in the first innings, and then came up with another impressive outing with the ball.
Mehidy Hasan Miraz picked fifer, picking figures of 5/32 as Bangladesh tied the series with a win by an innings and 106 runs in Chattogram.
In April, Mehidy Hasan Miraz scored 116 runs in two Tests at an average of 38.66 and 15 wickets at an average of 11.86.
Ben Sears also oozed his class with the ball in April
Ben Sears also oozed his class with the ball in April. He was in fine form with the ball in the ODI series against Pakistan. The New Zealand pacer picked up back-to-back five-wicket hauls in the final two ODIs of the series and helped his team complete the whitewash.
Ben Sears, who picked 5/59 and 5/34 in the last two ODIs, won Player of the Series as he collected 10 wickets at an average of 9.30 at an economy rate of 5.07.
Kathryn Bryce, Hayley Matthews, and Fatima Sana will fight for ICC Women’s Player of the Month award for April
In terms of the ICC Women’s Player of the Month for April, Scotland skipper Kathryn Bryce. She was exceptional with the bat and ball in the World Cup Qualifiers. She finished the tournament as the leading run-scorer with 293 runs at an average of 73.25 to go with a ton and two half-centuries. She also picked up six wickets in the tournament.
In the same event, West Indies skipper Hayley Matthews shone with both bat and ball. The opening batter scored 240 runs at a strike rate of 116.50, averaging 60. Not only this, she also bagged 13 at an average of 15.84.
Pakistan skipper Fatima Sana stole the limelight with the ball in the World Cup Qualifiers and finished as the leading wicket-taker for Pakistan - picking up 12 dismissals at a miserly economy rate of 3.97. She also played an innings of 62 against Thailand.
