ICC Champions Trophy 2025: BCCI's ICC Revenue Share questioned from Pakistan
Former Pakistan cricketer Rashid Latif wants the International Cricket Council (ICC) to give more revenue to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). This comes at a crucial time when BCCI and PCB are fighting over ICC Champions Trophy 2025 venue.
Latif shared a chart of the latest cycle of the ICC Financial Model which involved all the member nations and their respective shares.
In the chart, India has the highest percentage of share with a mammoth 38.50%. On the other hand, no other member nation even has a 7% share. The fact that the most amount of revenue is generated from India, makes sense that India gets the highest amount as well.
Rashid Latif accepted this fact and had no issues with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) getting the highest amount of share. However, he wasn't pleased with Pakistan's 5.75% share and called for it to be increased.

Rashid Latif calls for more revenue for Pakistan in ICC financial model
While sharing the chart of the ICC Financial Model 2024-27, Rashid Latif called for more amount of shares for Pakistan. During his post, Latif also spoke about the equality that PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi has been speaking about recently.
Rashid Latif claimed that if the Champions Trophy final between Pakistan and India is played in Dubai, then the India-Pakistan final in T20 World Cup 2026 should be played in Colombo. It is to be noted that the T20 World Cup 2026 is scheduled to be hosted by India and Sri Lanka jointly.
"Revenue and Venue from 2025-27 important for both PCB and BCCI. BCCI deserves 38.5%, but PCB also deserves more than 5.75%," Latif posted on X (formerly Twitter).
"Hypothetically, if Pakistan-India final in Champions Trophy can be played in Dubai, India-Pakistan final in T20WC 2026 can also be played in Colombo. This parity and equal treatment for which Mohsin Naqvi has been fighting for!" the post further added.

ICC Champions Trophy 2025 to be played in the hybrid model?
The ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which is scheduled to be hosted by Pakistan is facing huge concerns due to India's reluctance to travel to the country. The BCCI has already made it clear that they cannot send their team to Pakistan due to their government's denial.
The Indian board wants the tournament to be played in a hybrid model and the ICC has been trying to convince the PCB. However, the PCB has made it clear that it won't allow the tournament to go outside Pakistan.
According to the reports, Pakistan has stated that they too won't travel to India for further tournaments and wants those tournaments to be played in a hybrid model as well. However, the dilemma of Champions Trophy is likely to be resolved in a few days and a final schedule will be announced.
