ICC Champions Trophy 2025 final tickets locked; shambles for PCB and ICC

The International Cricket Council (ICC) confirmed that tickets for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 final will go on sale only after the conclusion of the first semi-final. The delayed ticket sales are due to Team India's decision not to travel to the host nation, Pakistan, with their matches being played in Dubai, UAE.

The excitement for the upcoming marquee event is growing as tickets for matches in Pakistan are set to go on sale on Tuesday, January 28. Fans can secure tickets for group-stage matches and the second semi-final, scheduled in Pakistan. However, there is no update yet on ticket availability for India's matches.

ICC and PCB Announce Ticket Details for Champions Trophy 2025

The ICC and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced ticket details for the tournament. Tickets for matches in Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi, including the second semi-final, will go on sale on Tuesday, January 28.

"The tickets for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy games in Pakistan are set to go live on Tuesday, 28 January, 13h00 Gulf Standard Time (GST) / 14h00 Pakistan Standard Time (PST)," said the ICC in its statement on Monday. “Fans will be able to register to buy the tickets for the 10 matches - including the second semi-final - taking place in Pakistan in Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi.”

Tickets for Champions Trophy Final to Go Live Only After First Semi-Final

India will play all their matches in Dubai, including the knockouts if they qualify. If India qualifies from Group A, which includes Pakistan, New Zealand, and Bangladesh, they will play in the first semi-final in Dubai. Only If India makes the final, it will also take place in Dubai; otherwise, the final will be held in Lahore.

The ICC confirmed that ticket information for India's matches in the UAE will be released soon. 1st semi-final winner will decide the final venue. Dubai will host the first semi-final regardless of India's qualification. Fans will have just four days to purchase tickets for the final game.

“Ticket information regarding the UAE matches featuring India will be made available in the coming days,” said the ICC.

Tournament Director Sumair Ahmad Syed said that the CT is a monumental event for Pakistan. He highlighted the newly upgraded, modern stadiums and assured fans that ticket prices are kept affordable to make the event accessible to everyone.

The Champions Trophy will be the first ICC event hosted by Pakistan since the 1996 World Cup. PCB is working hard to ensure the readiness of its stadiums, with renovations underway in Lahore, Karachi, and Rawalpindi. The PCB remains confident that all stadiums will be ready in time for the event.
