The International Cricket Council (ICC) is expected to announce the schedule for the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025 next week. An International Cricket Council delegation will visit Lahore from November 10 to 12 to review preparations for next year's 50-over tournament, which will be hosted in Pakistan.

India's participation in the Champions Trophy in Pakistan is uncertain due to geopolitical tensions between the two countries. The Indian team played last year's Asia Cup in a hybrid model, with their matches held outside Pakistan. A similar arrangement could be considered for the Champions Trophy.

ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Schedule Shared with Cricket Teams

According to cricketpakistan.com, the schedule for the 2025 Champions Trophy has already been shared with member countries. The ICC delegation will assess preparations and logistics for the event during their visit to Lahore. An official event on November 11 is expected to feature prominent figures.

"Sources have confirmed that the tournament schedule has already been shared with member countries, and this visit will provide the ICC with an opportunity to assess preparations and logistics ahead of the event. The official event on November 11 is expected to feature prominent figures, including cricketers, who will be invited to attend," Cricket Pakistan reported.

Pakistan Placed in Group A with India for Champions Trophy 2025

According to the proposed schedule, Pakistan is in Group A with India, Bangladesh, and New Zealand, while England, South Africa, Australia, and Afghanistan are placed in Group B. The BCCI is waiting for approval from the Indian government before confirming India's participation in matches in Pakistan.

The 2025 Champions Trophy will take place from February 19 to March 9. Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi will host the matches of the marquee tournament. Lahore will host seven matches, including the final, while Karachi will host the opening match and one of the semi-final matches of the tournament.

Rawalpindi will host five matches, including the other semi-final. The semi-finals are scheduled for March 5 and 6. The final will be played in Lahore on March 9, with a reserve day on March 10.

Pakistan is the defending champion of the Champions Trophy, having defeated India by 180 runs in the 2017 final at The Oval. Both Australia and India have won the tournament twice.
