The start of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 has been marred by another controversy surrounding India and Pakistan. The eight-nation event is all set to take place from 19th February, with a final schedule to take place on 9th March.
The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will be played in a Hybrid model. As per that, all the teams apart from India will be playing their games in Pakistan. While Rohit Sharma-led side will be playing all their matches at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai. Also, if they reach the final, it will also be played in Gulf country otherwise it will be played in Pakistan.
BCCI and PCB have been involved in massive controversies over the ICC Champions Trophy 2025
Since the last few months, ICC Champions Trophy has been in the news and this is because of the controversies that BCCI and PCB have been involved in. Both the boards were involved in a massive fight over the schedule and venue of the tournament, and after many discussions, the hybrid model was finalized.
After this, there emerged another controversy related to the captain's meeting. BCCI categorically mentioned that they wouldn't be sending Rohit Sharma to Pakistan for the captain's press conference. There were talks of the event being shifted to Dubai, but Pakistan was against it, and ultimately, ICC ended up canceling the captain's meeting.
With ICC Champions Trophy 2025 just around the corner, a fresh controversy has emerged. A video has emerged from the National Stadium in Karachi, where New Zealand, South Africa, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and England will be playing their games in the tournament.
The flags of all the above-mentioned nations, along with hosts Pakistan, were seen flying high at the National Stadium in Karachi but the Indian flag wasn't there. This left fans on social media stunned, and it triggered a massive debate, with many lashing out at the PCB.

The exact reason for the Indian flag not being there at the National Stadium in Karachi wasn't known, but it can be assumed that it has something to do with the fact that India are playing all of their Champions Trophy matches in Dubai.

India National Cricket Team will be opening their campaign in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 against Bangladesh National Cricket Team. The match is scheduled to take place on 20th February, and after that, they will be up against arch-rivals Pakistan on 23rd February before playing New Zealand on 2nd March.
India will be one of the hot favorites to win the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The Rohit Sharma-led side has named a pretty balanced squad, and it's fair to say that if they play to their potential, then no one can stop them from winning the tournament, which will be played for the first time after 2017.
