Team India T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav reacted to the Board of Control for Cricket in India's (BCCI) refusal to travel to Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Suryakumar Yadav gave a fitting reply to the fan's "Pakistan kyu nahi aa rahe aap?" question, and the video has gone viral on social media.

The Champions Trophy 2025 is in jeopardy after the Indian government refused to send the cricket team to Pakistan. Pakistan is the official host for the upcoming tournament. However, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is facing significant challenges due to ongoing political tensions between the two nations.

Hamare Hath Mein Thodi Hai - Suryakumar Yadav

Many Pakistan fans have been disappointed amid reports over India’s refusal to tour Pakistan for the 2025 Champions Trophy. A fan even asked Suryakumar Yadav about India's reluctance to travel to Pakistan. The viral incident took place during India’s ongoing four-match T20I series in South Africa.

Suryakumar Yadav was posing for photos with fans, and one asked him why India was refusing to tour Pakistan for the Champions Trophy. Suryakumar responded that the decision was beyond the players' control.

"Mujhe ek baat bata saktein hai ke Pakistan kyu nahi aa rahe aap (Tell me why are you not coming to Pakistan)?", a fan asked Suryakumar.

"Arrey bhaiya, hamare hath mein thodi hai (Brother, it is not in our hands)," Suryakumar replied.

India's Cricket Team Doesn't Decide - Aakash Chopra

It is worth mentioning that Pakistan faced a similar situation during the 2023 Asia Cup when the BCCI refused to play on Pakistani soil. The Pakistan Cricket Board had to host the multi-nation tournament in a hybrid model. Team India played all their matches, including the final clash, in Sri Lanka.

The ICC is trying to convince the PCB to accept a hybrid model for the Champions Trophy. However, the PCB is firm in its stance, and a resolution is needed soon, with the tournament less than 100 days away. Either India or Pakistan may not participate, which would be a significant setback.

Former Indian opener Aakash Chopra stated that Pakistan is to blame for India's refusal to travel for the Champions Trophy, citing recent security concerns like a bomb blast in Quetta. He said the decision was made by the Indian government, not the BCCI, as they don't control where the team travels.

"It has been decided that India won't go to Pakistan (for the Champions Trophy), and this is not the BCCI's decision. Let's make it very, very clear. India's cricket team doesn't decide where and when they will go when we talk about Pakistan," Chopra said.
