The India National Cricket Team have marched on their journey for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The Rohit Sharma-led side on Sunday (15th February) departed for Dubai from Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport.

The entire Indian team was seen travelling together, and this comes after the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) recently issued the travelling guidelines. The reports in IANS claimed that the Rohit Sharma-led side was initially set to reach Dubai in batches like it has been happening in the past few tours.

However, orders from BCCI made all the players reach Mumbai first and then travel to Dubai together. All the players, along with the support staff, were seen checking into the airport to take their flight. The videos went viral on the internet, with a major focus on Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli arrived in a team bus at the airport. The duo also signed autographs for the fans and took pictures.

India will most likely be beginning their training on Sunday (16th February). The Rohit Sharma-led side will be opening their campaign in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team on 20th February. After that, they will be taking on Pakistan on 23rd February before taking on New Zealand in their last league game on 2nd March.

India will be playing all their games in Dubai after it was decided that the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will be played in a Hybrid model. The Rohit Sharma-led side ended as the runners-up in the last edition of the tournament as they lost to Pakistan in the final.

India, for the last few years, have been a team to beat in the ICC tournaments. After consistently managing to reach the knockouts, they finally had their hands on the trophy after they beat South Africa National Cricket Team in the final to win the ICC T20 World Cup 2024.

India will be without the services of Jasprit Bumrah

The Men in Blue will be without the services of Jasprit Bumrah, who was ruled out of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The fast bowler was replaced by Harshit Rana, who made his debut for the team in ODIs during the recently concluded England series. Also, Yashasvi Jaiswal, who was initially named in the team, was replaced by Varun Chakravarthy.

The Rohit Sharma-led side has 5 spinners in the team, and this move has been criticized a lot. The fast bowlers include Mohammed Shami, Harshit Rana, and Arshdeep Singh along with all-rounder Hardik Pandya. Axar Patel, Ravindra Jadeja, Washington Sundar, and Kuldeep Yadav are the other 4 spinners in the team for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

The batting department will see the likes of Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant.
